The Rotary Club of Middletown recently hosted its annual Holiday party for families at Lucy’s Hearth, bringing together Rotary members, Interact Club youth, and our Rotary district leadership for an evening of joy and goodwill. We extend our sincere thanks to Pat Burke and Deanna Conheeney for their unwavering dedication and hard work in orchestrating this successful event once again.
The party featured a charming trolley ride to a glittery ballroom where delicious food and thoughtful gifting arrangements set the stage for a spirited celebration. Larry deserves special appreciation for his invaluable contributions—providing musical ambiance, managing the microphone, and capturing precious moments through his photography. His dedication added significantly to the overall experience, creating lasting memories for our club and the families of Lucy's Hearth.
The youth from the Interact Club played a vital role, bringing lively caroling with flute accompaniment, coordinating children's activities, managing the Holiday Trivia quiz, coat raffle, hat and scarf giveaways, and escorting Santa to his seat in joyful song. Their vibrant costumes and infectious smiles significantly enhanced the festive atmosphere of the evening.
District Governor Angela Ponte, Assistant Governor Betty Galligan, and former Rotary District Governor Valerie Perry brought not only their holiday spirit but also actively participated in event setup, assisting Santa in handing out gifts and conducting the drawings for the coat raffle.
A sincere thank you to everyone who contributed time, resources, and enthusiasm to make this event memorable. Your commitment to service and community building reflects the core values of Rotary. As we reflect on the impact made and the joy brought to families during the holiday season, we are reminded of the positive difference that can be achieved through shared dedication.
