Million Dollar Meal for Polio at Gooseberry Beach

Join us for a special event at Gooseberry Beach, 123 Ocean Drive  in Newport on Wednesday, August 21st!  We'll gather for dinner, enjoy music on the beach, and participate in a Rotary Million Dollar Meal. What does that mean? Instead of paying for dinner individually, we'll collect the usual cost of a hotel dinner ($22 per person) and donate it collectively to Rotary for the purpose of eradicating Polio. This initiative demonstrates our commitment as Rotarians to help make an impact.  Additional Details:

• When you arrive at the gate, tell them you are a guest of Deanna Conheeny. 
• You can start showing up as early as 4:30.
• Music starts at 5:00 and usually ends around 8:00.
• If the weather is bad, we will move into the hall.
• Generally, we will be sitting on the sand. So you may want to bring a chair(s).
• There will be a small low table.
• Our Location: When looking at the band with the ocean to your back, we will set up to the left (our usual spot).
• Bring your own food and drink. 
  • The food concession will be open for a while and you can get food there.  They have hamburgers, sandwiches etc and usually something special for the evening (last week it was a quesadilla). 
• We will have ice.
• For the Million Dollar cost, you must give our treasurer the $22 in cash or check (Made Payable to Middletown Rotary Club).  DON’T FORGET EVERYONE PAYS THE $22.00 TO “MIDDLETOWN Rotary Club” WHETHER OR NOT YOU ATTEND!
